Here, I will be reviewing the Air Zone X Shot Dual. I got this at Toys R Us for $7.00 USD. First, I'll start off with some pictures:
One Side:
The Other Side:
Here It Is Primed:
It fires out these Air Zone darts and these crappy foam disks:
Obviously, you just muzzle load the darts, but you load the disks from the top like so:
Anyways, lets start with the actual review. Firstly, I would like to point out that the blaster is comfortable, EXCEPT FOR IT'S TINY FREAKIN' HANDLE! The handle is smaller than a Buzz Bee Panther handle, which is really saying a lot. But, for such a low volume springer, It gets some amazing ranges (with the darts at least). Holding it flat or a level shot with the darts get around 30-40 feet, but on the other hand the discs get about 10-20 feet flat. There are a few reasons revealing why the discs are soooooo terrible. For one thing, the discs are this flimsy foam that have basically no weight at all, causing bad ranges and terrible accuracy. Second of all, when the plaster is primed, it pulls back the small "Hammer" that hits the discs and makes them fire, then when you pull the trigger it launches the hammer forward, hitting the disc, causing it to fire and get bullcrap ranges because there is no air involved. But, for the most part, it's a nice blaster. Lets go on to the ratings (out of 10).
Looks: 7
Comfort: 7
Range: 8
Capacity: 4
Average: 6.5
So, this is definitely a blaster to get. It gets some nice stock ranges, and has decent modding potential. Look out for a mod of this blaster coming soon!
